Services

Eat Well CT provides individual and group nutrition counseling for children and adults in the following areas:
  1. Weight management
  2. Diabetes–Type 1, Type 2 and Gestational
  3. Heart health–Cholesterol and Lipid Disorders, High Blood Pressure
  4. Eating disorders–including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder
  5. Cancer
  6. HIV/AIDS
  7. Renal disease and dialysis
  8. Liver disease
  9. Pregnancy and lactation
  10. Infertility
  11. Geriatric health
  12. Oral and other surgeries
  13. Diseases of the gastrointestinal tract–including Gastroesophageal Reflux (GERD), Ulcers, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Crohn’s Disease and Celiac Disease Food allergies, intolerances and special diets
Location

Nutrition counseling is offered in your home or at Eat Well CT’s office in Cos Cob, CT. If you are unable to meet in person, telephone appointments may be arranged.

How We Work

Initial visit: Your initial visit consists of a one-hour session where we will review in detail your medical and dietary histories. We will then set goals and objectives for our work together.

Follow-up visits: Following you initial consultation, we will meet for thirty minutes at regularly planned intervals to discuss your progress and challenges and to continue shaping your goals.

Putting It Into practice

To ensure lifelong changes, we provide tips for every-day living. Our ‘food coaching’ services include:

  1. Food logs
  2. Supermarket and restaurant tours
  3. Kitchen redesign–making your food environment safe
  4. Meal planning and grocery lists
  5. Cooking classes
  6. Menu design and recipe makeovers
Our group education services include
  1. Single and multi-series classes on a multitude of topics including: weight management, heart health, diabetes care and carbohydrate counting
  2. Group cooking lessons
  3. Group fitness classes
  4. Educational materials and self-guided lesson plans
