

Jamie Kesmodel, MS, RD, CDN is Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association and a Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist in New York State. Jamie is the founder and principal of Eat Well Connecticut, a private practice specializing in nutritional counseling for weight management, diabetes and other medical conditions in Cos Cob, CT. Additionally, Jamie is a Clinical Dietitian at the Northern Westchester Hospital in Mt. Kisco, New York.
Jamie received her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the Colorado College and received her Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University. She completed her Dietetic Internship at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx, New York where she led an IRB-approved research study entitled, “Implications of concurrent iron and ascorbic acid supplementation on iron status in persons with spinal cord injury.”
Jamie has vast experience working with both children and adults in the management of weight, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, eating disorders, cancer, HIV/AIDS, renal disease, pregnancy and lactation, infertility, geriatric health, oral surgery and diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. Her approach to nutrition counseling is multi-disciplinary, working with client’s physicians, psychologists and other practitioners to promote optimal wellness.
An avid cook and food lover, Jamie develops and tests healthy recipes and researches products to provide her clients with real life food advice. Jamie has a special appreciation for nature and its connection to food. She enjoys incorporating her fitness activities into the outdoors, walking, hiking, skiing, and working in her garden.
